Introducing Dr Philip Bekhor FACD

Dermatologist Dr Philip Bekhor began using lasers to treat birthmarks in 1983. When he heard about the then new laser technology to remove tattoos without damaging the skin he introduced Melbourne's first Q-switched Medlite™ tattoo removal laser in 1993. For the last 20 years he has kept his laser technology state of the art, regularly updating Tattoo Laser Dermatology's YAG lasers and adding a Q-switched Ruby laser to the clinic. For the first time in 2 decades there is something completely revolutionary in laser tattoo removal and Dr Bekhor is pleased to offer Australia's first PicoSure® laser, the only laser that:

  • Can rapidly remove green ink
  • Will remove tattoos with fewer treatment sessions
  • Will remove residual ink from tattoos not responsive to older style Q-switched lasers
  • Is less painful than previous lasers

Welcome to Tattoo Laser Dermatology

Twenty years ago Dr Philip Bekhor, director of the Laser Unit at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital, was pleased to hear that new laser technology could remove tattoos without scarring. He purchased Victoria's first Q-switched YAG laser in 1993.

Since then, thousands of people have benefited from scar free tattoo removal treatment with the Q-Switched YAG laser. Tattoo Laser Dermatology offers the ConBio™ RevLite® SI Q-Switched Nd:YAG tattoo removal laser as well as the Wavelength Sinon™ Ruby tattoo removal laser.

Now Tattoo Laser Dermatology has added the new PicoSure® laser, now with the Boost™ Upgrade, to the extensive range of lasers available to achieve the best possible outcome. These lasers are also used for removal of cosmetic tattooing (eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner) and traumatic tattooing following injury (gravel and tar staining).
